2024 Midway USA AiA Season Kickoff
Lake of the Ozarks Division, presented by Midwest Land Group: Land Agent – Justin Swast
Tournament Date: March 3, 2024
Number of Participating Teams: 185

The 2024 Anglers in Action season started out with a bang, with 185 teams arriving at PB2 on a beautiful Sunday morning in March. Temps in the mid to upper 70’s greeted the anglers Sunday, but winds ranging from 20-40mph made for a challenging day on the water. The fishing is heating up at Lake of the Ozarks, with 27 teams bringing in bags over 15 lbs., and 5 of those over 20 lbs.

1st place went to the team of Nathan Oliver and Jamie Eynard, who hauled in a massive 5 fish limit that weighed in at 24.26 lbs. Jamie & Nathan fished the mid lake area, using the a-rig primarily to catch their winning limit. They reported catching all of their fish by noon on Sunday.
Fishing out of their Phoenix Boat that was recently purchased from Anglers Port Marine, Nathan & Jamie brought some big time incentive money into play. Exclusively only to Anglers in Action tournaments, Anglers Port Marine paid out the winning team an extra $10,000 for purchasing their Phoenix Boat from them, on top of the $8,000 in Phoenix First Flight money and the $10,000 in AiA winnings, Nathan and Jamie are the first recipients of the $28,000 Payday!

No strangers to the check line, Justin Luetkemeyer and Jon Hardy took 2nd place overall with an impressive sack of bass that locked in on 23.03 lbs. Jon and Justin reported fishing in and around deep brushpiles with the a-rig to catch their limit. Jon and Justin landed a nice $6,000 Payday for their efforts. Congratulations guys!

Coming off of a win the previous day, Ryan Jordan and Cole McFarland continued their success with a solid bag of LOZ bass that weighed in at 22.68 lbs, good for 3rd place overall. Cole and Ryan reported catching all of their bass on the a-rig as well, and earned a solid $5,000 Payday for their 3rd place finish. Nice job gentlemen!

Lew’s Big Bass of the tournament went to the team of Gary & Evan Shartzer. They landed a LOZ  giant that weighed in at 7.61 lbs, and also had 11th place overall with 17.56 lbs. Great job fellas!
